Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. New York City Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Neither site material nor a result from a linked third-party tool may be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.
Information May Change
Records are corrected, online portals and fees change, and archival collections can move or gain new digitized material. ACRIS has a four-borough online scope beginning in 1966, while Staten Island land records follow the Richmond County Clerk route. We work to keep the reference current, but no detail is guaranteed accurate, complete, or current at a particular time. Confirm any record with its custodian before relying on it.
No Legal Advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. We identify records sources and explain their general New York City access paths, but an online reference does not replace advice from a licensed attorney.
Lawful Use Required
Public records support transparency, not harm. Do not use information found through this reference to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or injure a person. Such conduct may violate New York and federal law, including New York’s stalking and harassment provisions, and it violates our Terms of Use.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages include search boxes provided by third-party companies. We do not control their results, pricing, or handling of submitted information. Their output is not an FCRA-compliant consumer report.
External Links
Links may lead to the Department of Finance Property Information Portal, ACRIS, the Richmond County Clerk route, eCourts, libraries, archives, or comparable resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of an external website.
No Government Records Are Hosted Here
This reference does not hold a government roll, directory volume, court file, vital record, or property record. It points to the offices, libraries, and portals that maintain them. Contact the custodian directly to obtain, verify, or correct a record.
